Intern Cleaning BioProcess Engineer 80-100%

The actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland.

The Cleaning Bioprocess Engineer (BPE) provides technical and operational support for GMP manufacturing operations supporting BMS, USP, and DSP. We are looking for an intern to support the high volume of cleaning validation of large-scale stainless-steel bioreactors, media, buffer, and product pool tanks required in our GMP facility.

The role works within the Operations support team and will partner closely with Manufacturing, QA and MSAT Cleaning Experts.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure timely, high-quality preparation, creation, review, optimization and control of cleaning-related manufacturing documentation.
  • Support the review and improvement of cleaning steps in SOPs, electronic batch records , and cleaning protocols to ensure clarity, execution, and compliance.
  • Support creation and update of cleaning documentation such as swab/rinse sampling overviews, sampling point lists, cleaning plans and related operational documents where applicable.
  • Ensure documentation is reviewed with a Right First-Time mindset, and that identified gaps are addressed appropriately.
  • Assist in collecting supporting information for deviations, change requests, CAPAs and investigations related to cleaning topics.

What we are looking for:

  • BSc or MSc in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or related field
  • Fluent in English and German is advantageous
  • Structured, detail oriented , and quality focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to prioritize and perform in a dynamic manufacturing environment
