Your Role:

As an Analytical Development Application Strategist, you will be responsible for supporting the Analytical Development department with your extensive expertise in solving complex issues. Your main tasks include the establishment, validation, and maintenance of digital systems laboratory information management systems, chromatography data systems, and electronic lab notebooks.
You will serve as the central point of contact for laboratories, the management and internal and external interfaces (e.g., Quality Assurance, IT Business Partners, and vendors) in the transformation towards a paperless laboratory. In this role, you will gather the needs of the laboratories, collaborate closely with local and global functions to identify market-available solutions, and assess their feasibility in terms of cost-benefit ratio. You will develop an implementation strategy, oversee the implementation and validation processes, and maintain existing systems throughout their lifecycle. Additionally, you will lead a motivated team of experts, working together on the establishment and maintenance of these systems.


Who you are:

  • Master's degree in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry or a related field with a focus on analytics, or an IT professional specializing in analytical laboratory infrastructure
  • Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a similar position within analytical quality control
  • Extensive knowledge in establishing new digital processes in the laboratory, such as electronic lab notebooks and laboratory information management systems in a GMP environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, high commitment to performance, self-motivation, responsibility, and the ability to act as a reliable team player and conscientious team leader
  • Strong strategic and process-oriented thinking
  • Very good English language skills, both spoken and written
  • Experience in validating digital systems (e.g., writing test scripts)
  • Ability to align laboratory needs with other functions and develop solutions
  • Experienced in leading a small team of experts
  • High expertise in presenting results and strategies
