
Market Access Manager
Job Description
Organon is hiring a Market Access Manager to join our team in Munich, Germany. In this role, you will be crucial in maintaining and achieving market access and pricing for all products in our portfolio. You will be the point of contact for pricing and reimbursement decisions in Germany and, as a member of the Market Access Team, NWE, will create alignment across markets and key opportunities. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, agile team player, effective communicator, and critical contributor to our commercial success.
This position is within the Northwest Europe (NWE) cluster of Organon. NWE comprises of 15 markets including Germany which gives great international exposure to anyone joining the Market Access team in NWE. As a team and individuals, the market access managers have responsibility for all “mandatory” tasks to maintain pricing and reimbursement according to the different countries local PnR processes (Pricing and Reimbursement).
Role Responsibilities:
Market Access Strategy:
- Develop and execute market access strategies for prioritized products, ensure alignment with the company's overall business objectives and best possible access for patients throughout the product’s life cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate market access considerations into product development and commercialization plans.
- Lead and effectively collaborate with other functions on market access, Health Technology Assessment and pricing analysis for Business Development and pipeline products.
- Effective preparation for product launches and ensuring market access through HTA, pricing strategy or other relevant mechanisms to achieve appropriate access, drive initial adoption, and maintain long-term profitability, ultimately supporting the company's growth and sustainability.
Pricing and Reimbursement:
- Manage operational pricing with health care authorities and other external parties including customers to maintain pricing and reimbursement.
- Build and execute tender and contracting strategy to maximize opportunities within the Organon product portfolio. In close collaboration with the Marketing team, Global Market Access, Supply Chain, and the colleagues within the NWE Market Access Team.
- Strategic pricing- analyze pricing trends, competitive landscape, and reimbursement policies to build and inform pricing strategies reflective of the value of the product.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for pricing decisions in Germany, working closely with cluster and global colleagues, maintaining internal pricing system for approvals.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant pricing and reimbursement regulations, laws, and industry code.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the market access and pricing eco-system as well as monitoring key trends within the health care system in relation to market access and pricing.
- Act as a trusted advisor on market access and pricing, providing insights and recommendations where needed in the cluster, global organization as well as with external parties.
Skills, Qualifications and Education:
- Proven experience in market access, pricing, or reimbursement roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry in Germany.
- In-depth knowledge of the healthcare systems, pricing regulations, and reimbursement processes in Germany.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in German and English.
