The Position
This exciting position is situated within the sub-chapter MassSpec Biostatistics & Digital Solutions , a core component of Roche Diagnostics' cutting-edge Research & Development division. You will be an integral part of a highly qualified team of 24 dedicated professionals, contributing to a broader chapter Biostatistics & Data Science Core Lab and Near Patient Care that boasts over 140 colleagues with diverse backgrounds in statistics, mathematics, physics, bioinformatics, and similar.
The primary focus of this role revolves around developing and maintaining an R/Shiny-based platform. This robust platform is designed to deliver validated statistical analyses to a wide array of internal and external customers focussing mainly on analytical performance experiments of IVD-assays, Quality Control of production processes, and standardization of IVD-assays.
Your opportunities

Development and optimization of the R/shiny based intranet-platform

Administrating Linux-servers and maintaining the IT-infrastructure

Planning project activities for a team of 3 people

Serving as main point of contact for the intranet-platform

Re-Design of the platform architecture for increased robustness & better scalability, integrating core analyses developed in R-packages

Keeping up the validation status of the platform

Implementation of an end-to-end test concept including backend- and frontend-testing
Your profile
-
You hold a PhD in (Bio)informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline

Alternatively, you bring a Master’s or Diploma degree in (Bio)informatics, Mathematics, or Statistics, complemented by extensive professional experience and proven expertise in the required field

You are an expert in R, R/shiny, React, Python Flask, or similar framework programming

You have much experience with web-technologies (HTML/CSS/jQuery), XML, Linux- and web-server configuration and you are familiar with standard methods of software development, like version control and change-management

Preferably, you have sound knowledge of biostatistics, applied mathematics and numerics

Basic knowledge in biochemistry and medical terminology is an advantage. Ideally, you also have experience with the development, testing, and validation of software in the GxP environment

You have proficient language skills, both in German and English (written and spoken)
The advertised position is temporary for two years.
