The Opportunity
Within the Global Marketing & Customer Insights (M&CI) team, the Solutions Marketing and Commercial Academy chapter aims to deliver impactful marketing and commercial learning initiatives to inspire customer action. Specifically, the Product & Solutions Excellence Sub-Chapter builds and drives impactful programs to strengthen commercial excellence across Diagnostics products & solutions (knowledge building).
You, as the Sub-chapter Lead Product & Solutions Excellence, will be leading a diverse team across multiple continents of passionate Global Solutions Learning Managers, Global Solutions, and Global Competitive Marketing Managers. This team drives the development of product and competitive training across our Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS) and Roche Information Solutions (RIS) portfolios for learners primarily in Marketing and Sales roles.
As the leader of this function, it will be your mission to lead the delivery of comprehensive learning paths across our portfolio and in line with our Gold-Silver-Bronze Prioritization (e.g. enable impactful product launches). To do this effectively, you will need to partner with key stakeholders in the organization and champion initiatives across RDS and RIS Customer Areas, other Global Functions (e.g. Global Customer Support - GCS), Regions, and Affiliates. You will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the team and the chapter, determine priorities, drive decisions and be responsible for the growth and development of team members.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Serve as a member of the Solutions Marketing and Commercial Academy Leadership Team and the DIA Commercial Learning Council to accelerate commercial readiness and learning experience across Diagnostics

Provide clear vision and leadership for the Product and Solutions Sub-Chapter and contribute to the overall SMCA chapter’s strategic direction

Be responsible for ensuring business and competitive needs are translated into learner-centric training strategies to help achieve profitable growth

Build, inspire and lead the Product & Solutions Excellence Sub-Chapter Team which consists of individuals in different roles, across global sites

Guide team in determining priorities and allocating resources effectively

Manage resources & people for personal, skill, and career development, and coach the team to successfully operate in a cross-functional, highly matrixed environment

Monitor and report on performance to measure program success and ROI, including feedback analysis, recommendations for future improvements, and process refinement to enhance program quality and efficiency

Serve as a champion and advocate for the team and aid in stakeholder management and alignment with Customer Areas, Global Customer Support, Regional Educational teams, and Affiliates

Drive innovation and continuous improvement by staying current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in learning and competition activities

Who You Are
-
University degree in Marketing/Business and/or Sciences, MBA or Master degree preferred
-
10+ years of experience in in-vitro Diagnostics market in a commercial, marketing or learning function

3+ years in a leadership role

Strong leadership and team management skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Established knowledge of the Roche Diagnostics organisation and strong personal network across different teams within the company

Understanding of the various Customer Areas, customer and affiliate needs regarding commercial success

Ability to successfully lead cross-functional matrix teams, building vision and strategy, driving and influencing others for results

Ability to lead interactions with senior internal stakeholders and regions/affiliates
-
Experienced with change management
-
Flexibility to travel internationally as required.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Pleasanton, CA is $193,200.00 - $358,800. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
