The Transplant Medical Manager (MM) role serves as a scientific and medical expert within the assigned therapeutic area(s) Transplant, participating in and executing the medical and scientific (non-promotional) strategy for the MCO, franchise portfolio/therapeutic area. The role manages medical aspects of products and/or therapies, working in close partnership with functional franchise leads and aligned with the overall franchise strategy. This includes supporting the local implementation of the global strategy to meet local market needs, ensuring successful lifecycle management of existing therapies and product launches in close collaboration across functions within the GSA teams.

Main responsibilities:

  • Utilize strong business acumen, acting as a key strategic business partner to the organization.

  • Lead creation and implementation of medical plans.

  • Support Medical pre-launch and launch strategy implementation and product lifecycle management.

  • Manage medical budget and resources effectively while ensuring timely delivery of objectives.

  • Lead and drive integrated evidence planning and execution through understanding of stakeholder needs.

  • Foster enhanced synergy between Clinical Study Unit and Medical teams through collaboration on study-specific activities to optimize clinical trial execution.

  • Maintain current knowledge of therapeutic area through continuous professional development.

  • Initiate and drive projects to raise standards of care and change clinical practice.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with external experts.

  • Champion the patient voice when developing and implementing medical strategies.

  • Create industry leading educational and scientific content that is timely, relevant, interactive and innovative.

  • Implement GtM-Medical strategy through personalized customer engagement approaches to maximize market impact and customer satisfaction.

  • Lead and manage medical scientific events including advisory boards, symposia, and congress activities.

  • Provide medical expertise for promotional material review and medical information requests.

  • Ensure compliance with medical and regulatory requirements, including material review.

About you

Education:

  • Successful university degree and PhD in nature science or advanced medical degree (Dr. med.)

  • Work experience in a similar function, such as Medical Manager, Medical Advisor

Role-specific knowledge and soft skills:

  • Deep therapy area expertise (cGvHD, stem cell transplant) and product knowledge including competitor data

  • Ability to work independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to ambiguity

  • Good understanding of the impact and evolution of healthcare systems

  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new data and integrate into new therapy area

  • Ability to drive strong collaborative relationships with commercial and cross-functional teams to ensure strategic input into global and regional plans

  • Willingness to travel occasionally, e.g. to attend congresses or conferences

Languages:

  • English (B2+ or higher) and German (C2) fluent written and verbal
