Description
Our client is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company applying a precision medicine approach to developing and delivering life-changing medicines for people with severe rare diseases and cancer.
The company has a diversified targeted oncology pipeline spanning solid tumors and hematological cancers, including clinical trials in rare tumor types and highly prevalent, genetically defined cancers. Their strategic approach and operational excellence in clinical development have enabled it to rapidly advance its lead product candidates into late-stage trials and enter into multiple collaborations with innovators in industry and academia to unlock the full potential for its portfolio and create more solutions for patients with cancer.
As National Field Medical Advisor Germany, you are instrumental in the successful EU launch in Germany. You serve as the medical-scientific interface between the Syneos Health/Client partnership and the German medical community.
You support the establishment of new treatment standards in NF1-PN therapy and contribute to improving patient care.
Responsibilities
- KOL Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Identify and build scientific and strategic relationships with Tier-2 Key External Experts across multi-specialty disciplines nationwide, in academic and non-academic centers
- Present clinical data and scientific evidence at medical centers
- Engage at scientific congresses, symposia, and professional events as agreed with Country Medical Director
- Medical-Scientific Advisory
- Analyze and evaluate accounts and medical networks
- Support development of medical strategies and treatment guidelines
- Provide scientific advisory services to internal teams and external partners
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support commercial teams with medical inquiries
- Collaborate with national and European Medical Affairs teams
- Launch Support
- Develop and implement Medical Affairs strategies
Requirements

- Completed medical degree, natural sciences, pharmacy, nutritional sciences, or biotechnology, ideally with PhD
- experience in Medical Affairs, preferably in oncology, rare diseases, or pediatrics
- Proven experience in launching innovative therapies, ideally MEK inhibitors or orphan drugs
- Ideally knowledge of NF1-PN therapeutic landscape and MEK inhibitor class
- Sound knowledge of German healthcare system, AMNOG procedures, GKV-SV, and IQWiG
- medical understanding in: Neurology & Neuro-Oncology, Oncology, Radiology, Neurosurgery, Pediatrics
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel nationwide and to international congresses as needed
- Mobility: Valid driver's license
- Languages: Fluent German and English skills (verbal and written)
