To strengthen our Rare & Epilepsy organization, we are looking for an Evidence Strategy & Development Manager Rare & Neurology (m/f/d) , to be based in Monheim, Germany .
About the role
As Evidence Strategy & Development Manager Rare & Neurology (m/f/d) , you will shape and execute a comprehensive evidence generation strategy for Rare & Neurology in Germany. You will lead Real-World Evidence and Post-Approval research, provide strategic input into global pipeline programs considering German HTA/AMNOG requirements, and ensure local medical needs are integrated into global studies. The role includes driving cross-functional evidence workstreams, leading publication strategy, and fostering partnerships with academic institutions while promoting innovative, digital approaches. Your mission: scientific excellence, compliance, and creating value for patients.
Who you’ll work with
You will collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Global Clinical Development, as well as European and global Medical and Development teams. Additionally, you will build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, networks, and external experts. This role reports directly to the Head of Medical Rare & Neurology Germany.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement a national evidence generation strategy for Rare & Neurology
- Identify critical data gaps for our assets
- Lead Real-World Evidence programs and Post-Approval studies (NIS, IIS, registries)
- Provide strategic medical input into global development and pipeline programs to ensure German clinical practice and HTA/AMNOG requirements are reflected
- Plan and execute national publication strategies
- Build and maintain partnerships with research institutions and professional societies
- Drive innovative approaches such as digital data sources and analytics
- Represent the affiliate in European and global Evidence Generation & Pipeline networks to drive alignment and share best practices
For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills:
- Education: M.D. preferred, Pharm.D., or natural sciences
- Experience: Several years in Medical Affairs, clinical development, or R&D, ideally in neurology and/or rare diseases
- Expertise: Real-World Evidence, non-interventional research, publication planning, dossier writing and scientific contribution to G-BA negotiations
- Knowledge: German regulatory requirements, AMNOG and HTA processes, ICH-GCP guidelines, local laws, and regulatory requirements
- Skills:
- Strategic thinking and scientific leadership
- Strong communication skills in German and English
- Ability to lead projects and collaborate cross-functionally
- Innovation mindset and digital affinity
- Integrity and compliance awareness
