Finance Director – Insight to Impact Lead Germany (m/f/d)
We are looking for a strategic, performance ‑ driven and execution ‑ oriented Finance leader to join UCB as Finance Director – Insight to Impact Lead Germany (m/f/d), based in Monheim am Rhein, Germany.
In this role, you will sit at the heart of business decision making, combining financial leadership, strategic insight and performance management to ensure that UCB’s investments, priorities and execution deliver measurable value for patients and sustainable business performance.
About the role
In this senior leadership role, you will drive the short ‑ and long ‑ term performance of UCB in Germany across all patient ‑ focused and go ‑ to ‑ market activities.
You will lead the German Insight to Impact (I2I) capability – UCB’s approach to turning data, analytics and financial insights into clear business decisions and tangible outcomes. I2I connects strategy, finance, performance management and execution, ensuring that resources are allocated where they create the greatest impact.
Acting as a trusted advisor and constructive challenger to the General Manager and Leadership Team, you will provide strategic, financial and operational insights to support evidence ‑ based decision making. You will be accountable for performance monitoring, insights generation, planning and resource allocation, while ensuring strong alignment with European and corporate priorities.
You will play a critical role in embedding a strong performance culture, strengthening governance, and building robust processes and data foundations that support sustainable growth and patient impact.
Who you’ll work with
- You will be a key member of the German Leadership Team and part of a broader European Insight to Impact leadership community.
- You will work closely with senior stakeholders across:
- Commercial, Marketing and Sales
- Medical and Market Access
- Finance and FP&A
- Digital,Data and Analytics teams
You will also provide direction and leadership to the local Insight to Impact team, ensuring strong delivery against local priorities while maintaining alignment with regional and global standards.
What you’ll do
- Act as the senior finance and performance partner for the German General Manager and Leadership Team
- Lead the Insight to Impact agenda in Germany, connecting strategy, finance and execution
- Drive business performance management, translating strategy into clear financial and non ‑ financial outcomes
- Generate and synthesize insights to support go ‑ to ‑ market effectiveness, product launches and portfolio prioritization, continuous performance improvement
- Measure and monitor the business and patient impact of initiatives and investments
- Play a central role in investment decisions and resource allocation, ensuring capital is deployed where it creates most value
- Identify and recommend resource reallocation opportunities to improve efficiency and impact
- Lead planning, forecasting and corporate cycle processes in close partnership with FP&A
- Ensure high ‑ quality business narratives, reports and decision materials for senior leadership
- Strengthen governance, processes and data foundations supporting performance management
- Support digital and data ‑ driven transformation initiatives
- Represent Germany in European Insight to Impact forums, contributing to cross ‑ country learning and alignment
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
- Extensive experience in finance, strategy or business performance roles, ideally within healthcare, life sciences or complex regulated industries
- Strong track record partnering with senior leadership and influencing strategic and operational decisions
- Proven ability to translate financial data and analytics into clear business insights
- Experience in performance management, planning, forecasting and investment decision support
- Strong understanding of commercial and go ‑ to ‑ market dynamics
- Strategic and structured thinker with a strong execution mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working in matrixed, international environments
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field
- Fluent English and strong professional proficiency in German
