To strengthen our team for rare diseases, we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join us as the Regional Rare Disease Lead (m/f/d) for the Berlin / Brandenburg / Mecklenburg-Vorpommern area.
About the Role
As the Regional Rare Disease Lead, you will represent UCB in the field of Myasthenia Gravis and contribute to improving the lives of people with this rare disease. You will play a central role in identifying and building collaborations with relevant healthcare stakeholders and implementing commercial strategies so that patients can benefit from our targeted therapeutic solutions. To achieve this, you will proactively and decisively maximize awareness, optimize the patient journey (earlier and more accurate diagnosis, faster access to more effective treatments), and promote the appropriate use of our UCB products. Please note that this role does not include disciplinary leadership.
Who You Will Work With
Your key internal stakeholders are the Rare Disease Leadership Team and the UCB departments - Marketing, Medical, and Market Access. In your area, you will primarily work with target physicians from clinics and practices, pharmacists, and members of relevant care teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement successful account strategies to penetrate the market of key customers in the assigned area, considering regional networks.
- Build and maintain relationships with local decision-makers, hospitals, practices, and regional patient associations to educate about the disease and its possible therapies.
- Continuous exchange of knowledge with treating/referring physicians, pharmacists, and patients to jointly develop more effective strategies that focus on patient value.
- Advocate for patients with rare diseases and be an expert on the various tools and resources offered by UCB.
- Provide balanced information about new therapies in the field of rare diseases.
Interested? For this position, we are looking for the following qualifications, experiences, and skills
- Completed Bachelor's/Master's degree, preferably in health sciences or natural sciences and completed training as a pharmaceutical representative (certification according §75 AMG)
- Experience in the field of rare and/or neurological diseases would be very helpful
- Expertise in medical, scientific, and health policy concepts, data analysis, as well as neurology and the introduction of solutions for rare diseases
- Scientific and patient-oriented mindset and fluent skills in German and Enlish
- Efficient management of complex individual cases and projects
- Permanent residence in the advertised area
