To strengthen our Rare & Epilepsy organization, we are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager – Rare Disease , to be based in Monheim, Germany .

About the role

The Senior Marketing Manager (m/f/d) for Rare Diseases is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies for our rare disease portfolio, helping to shape the future of patient care through innovative and purpose-driven solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build impactful campaigns, develop Rare Disease-specific tactics, and ensure alignment with our mission to deliver value for people living with rare conditions.

Who you´ll work with

In this role, you will work closely with the global, regional, and local cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Patient Engagement, Digital, Communications, and Conventions, as well as external stakeholders such as Healthcare Professionals and Key Opinion Leaders.

What you´ll do

  • Develop and execute robust EU and global marketing strategies for rare disease assets, aligned with integrated brand planning.
  • Lead brand planning, positioning, value proposition development, and lifecycle strategy for growth drivers and pipeline products.
  • Identify obstacles and opportunities in the rare disease landscape using analytical insights and develop clear action plans to address them.
  • Partner with Medical and Patient Engagement to shape disease awareness initiatives, HCP education programs, and patient-centric campaigns.
  • Stay informed on market dynamics, trends, and competitive landscape by gathering insights from HCPs, patients, and external experts to drive innovation.
  • Drive the creation and implementation of scientifically sound, high-quality content to support rare disease campaigns and deliver best-in-class materials.
  • Act as an integral member of the EU team, contributing to EU-wide strategies, sharing best practices, and supporting the adaptation and execution of product and communication strategies across countries.

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master´s degree in Life Sciences,  Biology, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in relevant marketing positions within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Completed training as a pharmaceutical representative (certification according §75 AMG) or equivalent qualification
  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Experience in Rare Diseases or Neurology is a strong asset
